Alone without a bright star,
Spurned from your high orbit
Darkness covers all my bulk,
And all life withers for lack
Of celestial beauty and light.
A planemo, adrift, and doomed
To be a wandering, deadened
World, bereft of grace, heat
And the joy of turning face
To receive the honey rays of
Your life-giving horizon smiles.
I skulk in the forlorn galaxy
Ejected, dejected, barren
And look for a collision that
Will nudge me back to that
Long gone love and favour.
"Oh what a misery it is to have an intellect in splints".
