Aquae et ignis interdictio

I've broken none of your laws,
Yet I walk, ragged and sore.
Prohibited, you turn me away,
Denied water and fire, I live
An anchorite existence: Only
For the sin of love branded,
And banished, my lips are dry,
My wasted body aches for you
In vain.

I've hit the desert's verge and
Even weeds no longer sustain:
The blasting sands swallow up
My bare feet, burn my soles
And cakes tears to my cheek.
I cannot retrace my steps for
Every particle of my heart is
In pieces. I'm scattered to
The winds.
"Oh what a misery it is to have an intellect in splints".

Good work Saturn. Nice to read your work. In exile?
Take care. Marwood.
That I might drink, and leave the world unseen.
