Two doves

Postby Pjerrot » Sun Apr 03, 2011 4:00 am

I saw two doves
on the ground
trying to find
in search of
a dream
Ah! I will taste that dew, for me ’tis meet,/And when the moon her pallid face discloses,/I’ll gather some by spells, and incantation.

I'm normally not one for short poems, but I find this one rather intriguing.

I like how the flow goes from "together" to "on the ground". Both lines have 3 syllables, but they feel in a way similar and different. They are hard sounding words and they feel rushed compared to the rest of the poem.
