Desert Island Discs: Andrew Motion on Keats

Postby Cath » Fri May 11, 2012 8:13 pm

Keats is discussed around the 27 min. mark in this Desert Island Discs with the Keats biographer Andrew Motion:

It was recorded in 1998, the year after Keats was published. Some rather tenuous parallels are drawn between Motion and Keats... I'd be interested to hear what you all think of Motion's poetry, if you've read any.

Sue Lawley talks of Keats dying "in 1820" and Motion doesn't correct her - tut, tut!

Whoops, that's a bit of a clunker for a biographer.
