"I always made an awkward bow"

Postby Saturn » Thu Nov 26, 2020 12:20 am

After over 16 years with some sadness I will be departing from the post of administrator.

Seems the time has come, all things must come to pass.

I hope that this forum will carry on, as it has always been as somewhere for good natured discussion of Keats and his life and work, among other things and a community of sorts too as it once was.

It's been mostly a pleasure to look after this place when its reins were unexpectedly handed to me.

Take care everyone and all the best in future,

Stephen,

A.K.A Saturn.

"Left to our own devices, we degenerated apace" - Edward John Trelawny, 1823.

The eloquence and knowledge levels displayed in many of your posts would have made you an interesting regular poster, but the eccentricity of your posts in 2004 (!) demonstrated your unsuitability as a moderator.

But if you want to come back, don't let me stop you.

Some facts and figures -

1. Saturn 4015 posts (Last visited - Nov 26, 2020)
2. Raphael 1845 (Nov 12, 2015)
3. Malia 1606 (Jul 29, 2013)
4. dks 1469 (May 06, 2016)
5. Credo Buffa 935 (Feb 14, 2011)
6. BrokenLyre 603 (Nov 03, 2020)
7. Cybele 392 (Aug 18, 2020)
8. Ennis 387 (Aug 09, 2015)
9. AsphodelElysium 353 (Feb 24, 2011)
10. Cath 251 (Feb 15, 2015)
11. MonroeDoctrine 187 (Apr 19, 2016)
12. Heaven/Hell 155 (Jun 03, 2008)
13. edwardkeenaghan 121 (Jun 12, 2017)
14. marwood 121 (Sep 30, 2017)

So, only 3 of the 14 most active posters have visited this year, with 7 of the others absent for spans ranging between 3 and 5 years, and the remaining 4 absent for 7 years or more.

There are/have been 563 posters, 246 of whom posted just once and seem to have been largely seeking homework/course advice.

a rose full-blown
shelters the base poppies, unknown...

Thank you Steven for your heartfelt poesy
and dedicated work to john-keats.com.

May your heart's wanderings
fancy lead you
to the restful home of poesy.
